I like The Digital Photography Book because it is packed with quick tips from how to improve your flower photography to how to keep your subjects from blinking and ruining your shot. This book tells you what setting to use for the occasion and lighting, not necessarily the why. Each tip is kept to one page and although most could easily read through the whole book in a day, you will return to reread the tips often.
