The Children's Book of Virtues

When my children were elementary school age, I used this book to augment my teaching about virtuous living. I have not looked at it for a number of years, but remember it as being a wonderful resource. It is readable and not preachy. The Book of Stones: Who They Are & What They Teach

This is the best book on the information of all stones. Love it! I have other books on the subject but have found this one to be the best one by far. I like how there are two authors giving difference perspectives.Buy The Book of Stones: Who They Are & What They Teach!

The Discipline Book: How to Have a Better-Behaved Child From Birth to Age Ten

This book was just a little disappointing in that it didn't have alot of concrete advice, just kind of general ideas that I already had in mind for parenting. I still would recommend it though because I really like Dr. Sears and think that what is in the book is pretty good, it just wasn't exactly what I was looking for. If you are new to the idea of AP parenting then this is a good one for you, or just struggling with what to do, it might be a good reminder. Great classic book, BUT beware. This is a MINI. The book is small. Not the typical size. I mean...SMALL! Very SMALL. Buy There's a Wocket in My Pocket! (Dr. Seuss's Book of Ridiculous Rhymes)!

Baby's Book: The First Five Years (Personal Organizers)

I bought two baby books hoping one would be the one I wanted--and this was it.

Pros?

The contemporary look.
The tabs on the top of the book (see uploaded photos).
The spiral binder.
The pockets (one on each tab).
The colors (muted gray, blue, pink, and yellow).
The cellophane envelope for a lock of hair.

Cons?

It would be nice if the pockets had closures--you can really only put paper or very flat items in it--or if there was a zippered pocket were you could put larger non-flat items.

The elastic place-holder band is a neat idea but is pretty useless in practice (at least for me). Buy Baby's Book: The First Five Years (Personal Organizers)!
