This activity book was a great help to our family. I had purchased the actual book over three years ago and never used it, for various reasons, one of which was I didn't have the time to come up with any activities to go along with it to help stimulate learning.
Then I got this activity book and since using it, my kids are engaged, I am engaged and we are all enjoying it. There are plenty of activities to choose from for each chapter, in fact I have a hard time deciding which activities to do and which to let go because we simply can't do them all. I have a "3rd grader" and a "1st grader" and they both are using the exact same material. This is very adaptable to different ages.
One word of caution: the activity book I purchased was a Revised edition, the book I already had was the original version and due to my own oversight I did not realize this--so if you are purchasing this activity book as a set with the book (which I recommend), there should be no problem. However, if you are deciding to purchase the activity book after buying the book, check to make sure they are the same version! I haven't found anything that needed to be worked around or pages that needed to be adjusted so far, but I do wish I had paid a little more attention!Buy The Story of the World.
