Who Says Quack? (Pudgy Board Book)

My 18-month old carries this book around with him during the day. The photos keep him busy and he loves turning the pages.

There really isn't a story to the book. Just animal noises. Fun to read and I've heard him practicing the noises when he looks at the book himself.

Cute book. I'm glad I bought it. Buy Who Says Quack? (Pudgy Board Book)!

The Golden Egg Book (Big Little Golden Book)

What a sweet "friend" book. WARNING There is violence. The bunny threw a rock at the egg, but he was a very small bunny and it was a very small rock, so the egg did not crack. In the end, there is the promise to never be alone again. What more can one want?Buy The Golden Egg Book (Big Little Golden Book)!

Sheep in a Jeep (Read-Along Book & CD)

This is a hilarious simple rhyming board book about sheep riding in a jeep and getting into several scrapes which end with a wrecked jeep for sale. This nicely illustrated story uses vocabulary that doesn't often come up at this level of language but which is easily understandable. The humor can be appreciated by all ages.Buy Sheep in a Jeep (Read-Along Book & CD)!

The Birth Book: Everything You Need to Know to Have a Safe and Satisfying Birth (Sears Parenting Library)

I love this book! It prepared me for the best birth experience possible and was by far the most positive and encouraging book on birthing that I have read. It covers home birth as well as hospital birth.Buy The Birth Book: Everything You Need to Know to Have a Safe and Satisfying Birth (Sears Parenting Library)!

Un, Deux, Trois: First French Rhymes (Book & CD)

This is a wonderful book. I myself sat down and enjoyed the rhymes before showing it to my children. There's no English, besides the introduction. There's a great selection of rhymes and songs and each one is said by an adult female's voice and then by a child's voice. Wonderful! Highly recommended!Buy Un, Deux, Trois: First French Rhymes (Book & CD)!

The Only EKG Book You'll Ever Need (Board Review Series)

I can't say enough good things about this book. As an internal medicine resident who hates cardiology (who needs the heart anyway), this book is wonderful. Made it through being pimped incessantly...it's not the only ECG book you'll ever need if you're a cardiologist, but it's a heck of a lot better than the cartoon Dubin version. Very well organized, easy to follow, and the ECGs are very representative of real life. Sorry, not for the future EP folks.Buy The Only EKG Book You'll Ever Need (Board Review Series)!

The Book (NLT)

Hand, Hand, Fingers, Thumb (Bright & Early Books(R))

This board book quickly became one of my 15-month-old twins' favorites! The natural rhythm of the book combined with an expressive reading style worked to get my kids totally engaged in this book. My daughter, in particular, has taken from the book a sense of scale...when she pretends to read it to herself, she gets louder and more exaggerated as the number of monkeys and drums increases. A fun book that I would definitely recommend as a gift or for the parent looking to add to their child's early library.Buy Hand, Hand, Fingers, Thumb (Bright & Early Books(R))!

The Little Book: A Novel

I devour books. When I really get into one, I tend to read faster. This book is the only exception to that rule I have yet to come across. I found myself purposely putting it down because I didn't want it to end. That has NEVER happened to me before. The story, the writing - both are exquisite. I originally picked this book up because my father died when I was very young, so the thought of going back in time and meeting your father appealed to me greatly. Little did I know it would also appeal to my profession - genealogist - as well. Words alone cannot convey how wonderful this book is. (Which is ironic, given that words are of what the book is made) Read this book!!!!! You won't regret it!Buy The Little Book: A Novel!
